Learn about Barbara's story themes good for other venues:

We Are Built From Dreams: Humankind always has had dreams: from dreaming of a new homeland, and traveling to far, far distances. Join Barbara Kellogg as she shares the stories of “dreamers” who have shaped our country, and possibly your life. Also, those stories (fun or fiction) of happenings while we are asleep, called “dreams.” Ages 3rd grade to adult, 45 minute performance

When Baboda Came to America: Your mother, grandmother, or great-grandmother, had this dream: going to America. What was it like to experience a voyage as a young woman immigrant? Why did she choose to travel weeks on a ship in primitive conditions to arrive in a country where she didn’t speak the language, didn’t know the customs and usually did not know any other person. How did she survive? Join Barbara Kellogg for this personal story woven into a presentation about immigrant women of 100 years ago.  30-45 minute performance, 4th grade – adult

Salt & Pepper: Stories told on the front porch.  Ration stamps, young boys doing a "good deed" creating an explosive situation and folktales make this a "must hear" program for the older generation.  The folktales feature  gray-haired heroes and heroines.  Muggsie, Zippy, Freeman and Bear (stuffed friends) usually join Barbara for hugs from the audiences before she shares this selection of stories, 45-60 minute program.

Stories From Here To There: A potpourri of folktales from around the world, adapted to children or adult audience.  Length of performance depends on audience:
30-45 minute program.

Sharing The Cookie:  From Sharing a cookie, to escalation of problem, to solving problems, this theme is PEACE.  Our story time ends with "The Legend of Sadako" as written by Elaine Wynne & Larry Johnson.  For audiences 8 years to adult.

Pigs, Paper Bags and Ponytails: This performance by Barbara brings to life the great stories of children's author, Robert Munsch.  (Stories are told with permission of author.)  This performance is especially appealing to children, grades K - 2.

Red, White & Blue: Do you know the composer of "God Bless America?"  Who was the lady singer who made the song popular?  This is an intergenerational patriotic tribute to our country through story!

Ozark Stories: "And the fiddle tune went up, up and mingled with the wind in the pines." Stories from the Ozark mountains of Missouri and Arkansas.  50 minute program

WWW Women: No, not a.website address, but a collection of stories about wise, wonderful, women. Women who were strong and brave, women of wonder, women of power—who persevered sometimes just for the adventure. Includes stories of females in myths and tall tales. Stories are from 1800’s to 2000’s. For all ages. Good for Women’s History month, Girl Scouts, Camp Fire Girls and other groups.

Barbara’s Bonus Bag of Stories: Every storyteller has their favorite stories. Barbara’s favorites include fun, serious, spiritual and healing stories, stories that do not fit into any particular theme. Her choice stories offered in a 45- minute performance. Will adapt stories to age group.

A Collection of Character Traits: Stories that emphasize respect, patience, appreciation and integrity just to name a few. Some stories are participatory, others are just good to "sit and listen," to.  Great for the elementary students second grade up to middle high.
